<dd>an object of class "Phylo", representing the tree upon which the
fossil occurrences were simulated.</dd>
<dt>complete</dt>
<dd>logical, if TRUE the oldest sample from each clade in the
complete tree is returned, if FALSE the oldest sample from each clade in
the extant only counterpart tree is returned.</dd></dl>
