<dd>background (or absence) points</dd><dt>factors</dt>
<dd>vectors indicating which variables are factors (using layer names or numbers)</dd><dt>xy</dt>
<dd>logical. If <code>TRUE</code>, the first two columns of the returned data.frame will be the coordinates of p and b (labeled 'x' and 'y')</dd></dl>
