mice.impute.mean: Imputation by the Mean

Description

Imputes the arithmetic mean of the observed data

Usage

mice.impute.mean(y, ry, x=NULL, ...)

Arguments

y
Incomplete data vector of length n
ry
Vector of missing data pattern (FALSE=missing, TRUE=observed)
x
Matrix (n x p) of complete covariates.
...
Other named arguments.

Value

  • A vector of length nmis with imputations.

Warning

Imputing the mean of a variable is almost never appropriate. See Little and Rubin (1987).
