schebyshev.t.weight: Weight function for the shifted Chebyshev polynomial

Description

This function returns the value of the weight function for the order \(k\) shifted Chebyshev polynomial of the first kind, \(T_k^* \left( x \right) \).

Usage

schebyshev.t.weight(x)

Value

The value of the weight function

Arguments

x

the function argument which can be a vector

Author

Frederick Novomestky fnovomes@poly.edu

Details

The function takes on non-zero values in the interval \( \left( 0,1 \right) \). The formula used to compute the weight function is as follows.

\(w\left( x \right) = \frac{1}{{\sqrt {x - x^2 } }}\)
