get.smiles.parser

This function returns a reference to a SMILES parser
object. If you are parsing multiple SMILES strings using multiple
calls to <code>parse.smiles</code>, it is
preferable to create your own parser and supply it to
<code>parse.smiles</code> rather than forcing that function
to instantiate a new parser for each call

Allows the user to access functionality in the
'CDK', a Java framework for chemoinformatics. This allows the user to load
molecules, evaluate fingerprints, calculate molecular descriptors and so on.
In addition, the 'CDK' API allows the user to view structures in 2D.
