In order to use a font in R it must first be made available locally. These
functions facilitate the download and registration of fonts from online
repositories.

Provides system native access to the font catalogue. As font
handling varies between systems it is difficult to correctly locate
installed fonts across different operating systems. The 'systemfonts'
package provides bindings to the native libraries on Windows, macOS
and Linux for finding font files that can then be used further by e.g.
graphic devices. The main use is intended to be from compiled code but
'systemfonts' also provides access from R.

<dl><dt>family</dt>
<dd>The font family to download (case insensitive)</dd>
<dt>dir</dt>
<dd>Where to download the font to. The default places it in your user
local font folder so that the font will be available automatically in new R
sessions. Set to <code><a href="/link/tempdir()?package=systemfonts&version=1.2.1" data-mini-rdoc="systemfonts::tempdir()">tempdir()</a></code> to only keep the font for the session.</dd>

<dd>Should the font be downloaded in the woff2 format (smaller and
more optimized)? Defaults to FALSE as the format is not supported on all
