Description

Use this method to send text messages.

Usage

sendMessage(
  chat_id,
  text,
  parse_mode = NULL,
  disable_web_page_preview = NULL,
  disable_notification = FALSE,
  reply_to_message_id = NULL,
  reply_markup = NULL
)

Arguments

chat_id

Unique identifier for the target chat or username of the target channel.

text

Text of the message to be sent.

parse_mode

(Optional). Send 'Markdown' or 'HTML', if you want Telegram apps to show bold, italic, fixed-width text or inline URLs in your bot's message.

disable_web_page_preview

(Optional). Disables link previews for links in this message.

disable_notification

(Optional). Sends the message silently. Users will receive a notification with no sound.

reply_to_message_id

(Optional). If the message is a reply, ID of the original message.

reply_markup

(Optional). A Reply Markup parameter object, it can be either:

• ReplyKeyboardMarkup

• InlineKeyboardMarkup

• ReplyKeyboardRemove

• ForceReply

Details

You can also use it's snake_case equivalent send_message.
