 all of the methods simply extract betas from the data object 
(which can be a <code>exprmethy450</code>, <code>MethylSet</code>, 
<code>MethyLumiSe</code>, or <code>RGChannelSet</code>) and calculate 
the metric. All the methods also require a factor differentiating 
male from female samples.
