check_type

A data frame or tibble of the training data.

A logical indicating whether the data is expected to be numeric
(TRUE) or a factor/character (FALSE).

quant

This internal function is to be used in the prep function to ensure that
the type of the variables matches the expectation. Throws an error if
check fails.

An extensible framework to create and preprocess
design matrices. Recipes consist of one or more data manipulation
and analysis "steps". Statistical parameters for the steps can
be estimated from an initial data set and then applied to
other data sets. The resulting design matrices can then be used
as inputs into statistical or machine learning models.
